HERE WE GROW AGAIN! Boy + Dog is on the way to becoming an 11-minute animated series. The new show is in development, with existing characters, new characters and new stories. Created and written by Rod Butler, along with the producers of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, the series will introduce us to the boy, his little sister, his family, and the hilarious dogs. It's a pure-hearted show designed to tickle your funny bone and touch your heart.
HERE WE GLOW AGAIN! "The Brilliant Adventures of Captain FlashLight," the radio mini-series, was heard for many years on the nationally syndicated COCONUT HUT RADIO SHOW, has been in development as an animated series since 2008. The animated story takes a fresh twist with new characters, new action, and a story of intergalactic proportions. But the theme remains: "the light will shine into the darkness and the darkness cannot overpower it." (John 1:5).

HAVE LOG, WILL TRAVEL The children's picture book Finneas McBly With a Log in His Eye, based on the Bible's "Log in Your Eye" parable, went all the way to the Suubi Orphanage in Uganda, bringing smiles and a new way of seeing this famous Bible story. With 1,000 copies printed by donation in 2011, the book was a culmination of many years' work, written by Rod Butler with artwork by Daniel G. Miller and Parker Ott.
In 1993, a light-powered superhero became part of FunLight Radio, ready to shine away the darkness. He was bold, bright and bumbling. He was Captain FunLight, with a cape and a side-kick named Blinkie. Here's a peek the original comic:
He was named Captain FlashLight around 2002, and was featured as a radio mini-series in the nationally syndicated Coconut Hut Radio Show. The character was first animated in 2008 by Janimation, and later by Parker Ott. Between then and now, the look and the logo have changed quite a bit. Along with co-writer Brad Norcross, I have watched the story undergo major changes, brightening up to offer the most brilliant adventures of all!
ROD BUTLER was born in Southern California in
1955, and grew up listening to the snapping keys of the typewriter as his dad,
John K. Butler, wrote screenplays for Republic Pictures, several starring Roy Rogers. Rod committed his life
to Christ in high school and during college became a writer and puppeteer for
Backyard, a national television ministry. He launched into children’s radio
in 1987 and concluded that career in 2013 as Director of Children’s Programming
for 90.9 KCBI, where he developed the award-winning KidZone Radio and the
nationally syndicated Coconut Hut Radio Show. Rod founded FILAMENT CITY MEDIA
in 2008 as a non-profit ministry committed to “Shining God’s Light

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Spirit.
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and choice, and are therefore, under condemnation; and that God regenerates and baptizes by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.
We believe in the universal Church, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.
We believe also in the laying on of hands for the empowering of the Holy Spirit, for ordination of pastors, elders and deacons, for receiving gifts of the Spirit and for healing.
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ and the consummation of His Kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
We believe these truths demand a personal response which can result in a transformed life.
